"To be Beside"

And yet you walk beside me

I capture the gentle nuance

Of nobility moving across my thoughts

I feel the mysterious encouragement

The wind bestows upon me.

I recognize the tree snagging

The shirt like it has a tale to tell

And yet you walk beside me

For my shadow is not my own.

The waves scream of life

As the rocks catapult them into my own awareness

The enigma so gratifying

I humbled at such a possibility

A sheer move of genius

A wild exploration of patience

Still you walk beside

It's an honor to be beside.
